Financial accounts, 1834-1865.

Consists of financial records for a New York City dry goods store. The first two volumes record money received by and cash owed to the business and Youngs personally, along with some of Youngs personal expenditures for 1834-1865. Of particular interest is his notation of how bills were paid--by cash or by merchandise. The third volume is a daybook that covers business transactions for the years from 1844 to 1847. It includes a listing of items sold with their prices and who bought them.
